Models, MCP connections, and skills
User Center provides separate areas for Models, MCP, and Skills. These are not interchangeable: a model generates responses, an MCP connection exposes an authorized external tool surface, and a skill provides reusable task guidance or capability instructions.
Models
Review the model options available to your account. Official platform-provided models can be selected without entering a personal provider key when the platform has enabled them. Custom model connections may require provider details or a key; add credentials only in the designated secure field and verify the connection status before using it. The model selector in Studio may also offer per-run model and reasoning settings. Organization policy can hide or restrict choices.
MCP connections
Add only servers you trust and review the requested scopes before authorizing them. Re-check which projects or team members can use a connection. Disconnect it when no longer needed and revoke the credential at the external provider if it may have been exposed.
Skills
Browse or manage skills available to your account, then use them only for the task they describe. Some skills are managed by an organization and cannot be edited or removed by an individual. A skill does not replace review of generated output or a required external permission prompt.
Troubleshooting connections
Check provider status, required fields, authorization expiry, and organization policy. Never paste a provider secret into the conversation or a project source file.
